Directions (please call if you have any problems)
From Plymouth
Take the A38 signposted to Liskeard. Drive past all turnings to Liskeard and continue straight ahead to Bodmin. Once through Dobwalls and Doublebois, you will pass a right hand turn to Carnglaze Caverns and St Neot. A little further on the left hand side you will pass the entrance to Trago Mills. Keep straight ahead and after 1.2 miles you will need to indicate early and turn right signposted Colliford Lake and St Neot. Just as you turn right, turn immediately left into The Half Way House pub car park.
Drive straight past the front of the pub and at the end of the building, you will see a sign for the overspill straight ahead and a lane going up hill and slightly to the right. Continue along the lane for approx. 100 metres and you will enter a farm gate signed Gillwood B&B. Just keep going another 60 metres up a slight incline and park at your convenience. Then just report to the house and not the small last building signed Gilldene, which is our holiday cottage, www.gilldeneholidaycottage.com
From M5
Take the exit for A30 to the Southwest and continue along this road for approx. 50 miles. Once you pass the sign to turn left for Jamaica Inn and St Neot, you will shortly after pass a waiting lay by for wide load carriers. Start to slow down as you will need to take the very next left turn signposted on a brown tourist sign to Colliford Lake Park. You have about 6 miles to travel on a quite narrow Cornish back road so take care with your speed. Shortly after turning you will pass the entrance to Colliford Lake Park and just continue straight ahead at all the following junctions.
Some 4 miles ahead you will encounter a staggered crossroads with left to St Neot and straight ahead to Ley and Mount, go straight ahead. At the next crossroads go straight ahead to Ley. Some half a mile later you will arrive at a T junction. Turn right and after crossing the cattle grid keep straight ahead. You will soon be descending down a steep hill, (suggest 2nd gear to save your brakes), and at the bottom, where the road bends sharp left to meet the A38, you need to indicate right and continue straight ahead into the front car park of The Halfway House public house.
